Matthews Studio Equipment introduces the Apple Box Topper™-a step forward in crew comfort. This practical and cushiony add-on instantly converts a traditional improvised Apple Box "stool" into a superior on set seat. Made from practical Matthews-branded webbing and fabrics, the Topper offers a better sitting situation while standing up to wear and tear.
Apple Box Topper is the pinnacle of portable pillows, designed to fit snuggly over the12” x 8” top of a full-sized apple box. The 4” thick Topper cushion provides comfortable support where it’s most needed, while a fitted 6” skirt keeps the seat secured perfectly in place. Featuring durable, stain resistant black Cordura fabric with striking orange stitching accents, the Apple Box Topper offers a sleek profile that won’t look worse for wear despite doing time on set. I recently bought a medium heavy-duty stand from Sammy’s Camera in Pasadena on my way to a shoot. For a while, I’ve been using the stand that came with my Flashpoint AD600 Pro, and while it’s a beast, it’s also heavy like one. On my recent shoot, the new stand made it a lot easier to move my light around and was less cumbersome overall. I felt less overwhelmed and more agile. Although I considered the more heavy-duty stand, I believe I made the right choice. I won’t know for sure until I try it, but with this stand, everything felt more run-and-gun. That day, I felt more able to create and adjust the lighting on the fly without stressing over the weight. Plus, I didn’t have to worry about my wife, who assists me, being overpowered by the C-stand and me continuously having to take over to make adjustments because of the weight.

I love the capasity, size, and wheels. This was a needed category to be filled. I'm very pleased.
cool product! I think for owner / operator and small teams, it's even a little bit too "big". nobody will use a lamp with 30KG. when I use an M18 / 1200 COB light, 15KG max weight is enough, could make the whole system smaller, lighter and cheaper. don't get me wrong, its an amazing product, but for small shows, I would even think twice about renting it because its too over-engineered. fantastic commercial by the way!
